Steaming

Perineal Steaming

What am I speaking of?
Using fragrant warm water to soothe, settle and nurture our perineal region

Spreading out into the entire body/mind

As a fertile woman?

To keep all ‘in order’ down there?

As an older woman?

YOU CAN TOOO!!!!

NEW – steaming online course

What one woman said of steaming – ‘For me it’s about feeling relaxed & allowing my body a break. There’s some feminine energy bringing in the nurturing side that attracts me also’. Of the course .. ..‘I finished the course, love the butter feel & gentle repetitive learning. If you watch movie then read what’s written it moves on to next movie & changes page for me’.

(So much more than yoni/vaginal).

This may be the first time you have come upon this. It is not so strange – just women’s business – and even in all European cultures – steam and herbs were part of the rich tapestry of life prior to the advent of chemicals and the retail industry called ‘health care’.

Most indigenous cultures knew that women’s vulnerable bits need some loving. All cultures had their own ways of ensuring women were looked after all through their life stages and processes.

The information below is for interest only and is not designed or intended for use to side step your own initiation into this gentle, effective and totally safe way to assist in women’s self help. Herbs???

Plants and their products have always

been used  to help heal. There is much on the internet with information that used to be secret women’s business now. The various named conditions such as endo and PCOS, fibroids and cysts and general tumours need attention – not removal or forcing to conform. The body grows as a response to instructions.

Most traditional cultures had women’s ways of knowing – although the dominant Western one seems to have lost these down the centuries. The burning of witches and the adoption of all surgery at the loss of hands-on gentle touch for self healing is just one way colonisation happened.

I learned more of steaming, after first experiencing this in Korea.
A common daily occurrence – totally normalised.

The Maya ways of steaming from the Arvigo founder Rosita Arvigo

Rosita Arvigo has a wealth of lineage related works – herbal and deep personal care of the ways of the Maya in Belize.

More on how to set this up at home

Handy stool that doubles as a decorative practical help – especially in a clinic.

I use this all day to perch on whilst working on the butt massage and other pelvic opening I attend to.

Need a slow cooker ideally – ceramic. Tend it carefully – I heat it up with very hot tap water whilst boiling the electric jug. The warmed pot is then covered with herbs and l carefully pour the boiling water over – turn on high (lid on) and leave maybe 15 minutes and then sit.

Assemble the toweling.
Arrange a ring or a small towel – hygenic and comfortable.

All ready to sit upon.

Just need to catch the steam so it goes up into you!

Maybe invest in the course below and start up yourself!

NEVER EVER use essential oils.

MUST use real plants – either dried (not from the cookery section – real organic for teas is best) or fresh – from the veggie store will do – mint, oregano, basil and rosemary for starters as a chronic infection control /clean out.

You do not need a certificated process – this is what was passed down mother to daughter in so many cultures. Why have we allowed the men’s ways (retail industries all made on the idea we need to have ‘validation’) to take over what is nature’s bounty?

This PowerPoint presentation that summarises what I feel that you need to know is below

Here is what one woman has written about this .

Korean style V (also A = anal for guys) steams  .

Vaginal steaming to make all down below welcoming and luscious .. what might a ‘V-steam’, do for you.?

All cultures looked after new mums. Also how to care for the vulnerable women at bleeding and post birthing. Mother roasting or steaming was so often a central part of the healing post natally. All phases of a woman’s life.

My personal introduction was here. In Korea, I was ‘roasted’ . ..

Here is the process in Sudan .  . Dukahn
Read more on what else they do there – here

Women who had tended successfully their families and their loved ones have been called many names buy those who have much to gain by surplanting them. Superstitious/pagan/old wives’ tales, old fashioned – what else was thrown at them.  Steaming is part of all the older midwifery traditions in various cultures and needs to return.

Get the course and get started – at home and feel your body transform!

steaming room ready

Ideally you need a ‘room’ set up to start a steam.

This was what I cobbled together in a space I was to present the Arvigo Self Care training in NZ in late 2016.

Amazing what you can find  ..

The bolster is to get the angle right – knees up means up perineum and also you can then (when you sit forwards) if female, feel the steam rising into your vaginal area. Yum!!

The old chair is a beginning

We would have a dedicated steaming pot /stool and area and use it daily. In  my clinic I have a room.

EXCEPT DO NOT IF . . .

  • Not if pregnant/ immediately after birth

ALTHOUGH – many cultures went straight to the steamer. One woman I worked with had been placed on it 3x daily for 3 months from immediately after birth.

  • trying to be in second half of cycle,
  • when bleeding/with period,
  • in an active infection,
  • or when we have devices or mesh added in within us.

Here is a great one site to look through and PLEASE download her free eBook.

Also see how the lovely stool is situated, and read the info

and also here – a kitchen variety steam and information

Doctors may disagree (they have little idea of how to help a body heal naturally as it is outside their scope of practice)- here is an answer to this In addition I would strongly suggest that you visit with someone who has done the Maya massage courses so they can do a complete healing for you.

Offered as part of the intensives I run

The steams are also incredibly soothing, especially if there is any structural/ prostate or digestive component to your dis-ease.

This is the beginning – DO NOT USE A PLASTIC SEAT LONG TERM
Is a ‘make do’ versions whilst you get areal wooden solid version – and for many – immediate start means  whatever is on hand – insuring that it does not melt of course!!!

So easy to make. So soothing on all levels . . .

Make sure you ‘dress’ it up as in the presentation above –

There is a section on men’s health on this. Enjoy!!
